Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. In the U.S., 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. While this statistic may feel overwhelming, it also reminds us of the importance of awareness, early detection, and support.
The most important thing you can do is be present. Listen to their needs, offer practical help (such as rides to appointments or meal delivery), and encourage them to seek support. Organizations like Joy of Dawn are here to help, so consider sharing resources that may benefit them.
You can help raise awareness by sharing information about the importance of regular screenings, supporting breast cancer charities, participating in awareness campaigns, or simply starting conversations about the impact of breast cancer. Every voice makes a difference.
